So to get through P5 the average time you would have at the end of your playthrough was 110 - 130 hours. P5 and P5R also add the load times to your total playtime. That sounds bad at first but let's go back to what I said about the load times, and better dungeon design, i said they're almost instant, and that they cut out repetetive/pointless tasks. it genuinely made me think on a few things I wont mention for the sake of spoilers, but it is the main reason I would reccomend P5R over P5, it is that good.Īnd now that we've gotten through that I can say, the total playtime is about the same. Now this is going to just sound like me fanboying over the 3rd semester, but Jesus it is great, it seriously was the highlight of my entire playthrough, not just because it was all new. Grappling hook which is usable in some specific areas (Mostly to be used for collecting "Will Seeds, and the added content in the 3rd semester.)Ī 3rd semester, which includes 1 new Palace/Dungeon and is where the 2 new characters with plot signifigance come in to play a lot more. The other new character is a shop keeper in "Mementos." (They cut out little things that were repetetive, pointless, and boring.)ģ new characters total, 2 with story significance. (Stylized attacks that can only be used under special circumstances.)īetter dungeon design. New "Will Seeds" which encourage you to go explore the Palaces/Dungeons.īetter exploration and more fun exploration of "Mementos" which is a randomly generating dungeon thing.īetter/redesigned mechanics.
There are way faster load times, like almost instant, which cuts down your total playtime.
#Persona 5 ps3 ps3#
I tend to describe P5R as a next gen upgrade, because P5 was built as a PS3 game and ported to the PS4, not built for the PS4. I would personally recommend getting Persona 5 The Royal, (P5R for short) which is an enhanced edition of Persona 5.
#Persona 5 ps3 1080p#
There is the lowered resolution from the PS4 running it at 1080p and the PS3 running it at 720p, but that isnt a problem. PS3 has a 2 main problems, like screen-tearing, and a less stable framerate. PS4 has better load times, not night and day difference, but noticable if you go from trying it on PS3 to PS4. It's the same game really, the differences are minor when comparing vanilla P5 on the PS3 to PS4 Is Persona 5 on PS3 just as good? Does it match up in terms of quality? Would I be happy with this version of the game? It's how I experienced games (some of my favorite of all time) such as The Last of Us, Heavy Rain, Dark Souls, Mafia II, Saints Row 2, Grand Theft Auto, Assassin's Creed and many more. Just to have one last big game and perhaps send off to a system that means so much to me. This is why I'm considering buying Persona 5 for the PS3 even though it's running on inferior hardware. I bought a PS4 this past November and haven't really gone back to its predecessor since despite that I actually prefer it and proudly call it my favorite video game system of all time. I'm not a huge fan of RPGs but this one could change everything. I've heard nothing but praise for this particular game and it's really peaked my interest.

I've been hearing so much about the Persona series and specifically Persona 5.
